Baby Olympic Games in Bahrain
Bahrain is hosting the Baby Olympics for the third time, with the first event taking place in 2018. The Baby Olympics is a competition for children aged two to four years old, with the aim of promoting sport and introducing basic Olympic values at a young age. The competition includes various sports such as athletics, gymnastics, football, basketball, and more. The event features a range of contests, including a freestyle gymnastics moves contest, a free-kick competition in football, a basketball free-throws contest, and a weightlifting show. The competitors will participate in a specially designed 15-meter stretch race and a hurdles toddle for three-year-olds, among other events. The event is a significant children’s sports event in the Kingdom, and around 1,029 children are expected to participate, including 563 representing 35 nurseries and 466 from 34 kindergartens. The Bahrain Olympic Committee plans to hold the opening ceremony of the event on June 1st, and the games will run from June 2nd to June 4th.
